  • So I wasn't sure I wanted to write this review because then it is letting everyone in on the best kept secret in Pittsburgh. Schorr Bakery has by far the best donuts Ive ever had. I grew up a few blocks away and I knew they were good but not how good until I moved elsewhere and had others donuts, nothing compares. Ive since moved back and I turned people at work into believers and now they request them. How good are they? A new coworker knew exactly where they were from when I opened the box. The bakery has been on Perrysville for decades and has a satellite location in West View. All of their baked goods are top notch. Their cakes are a treat as well. Growing up we always had "bake shop" bread from Schorr's. The bakery is open until 4pm Mon-Sat. They run day old sales daily and have special items some days. HELLO Tiger Tail Saturday! Their prices are beyond reasonable, $9/dozen donuts, compare that to DD and it is a several dollar difference. I can't say enough good things about Schorr Bakery. It's a North Side gem. You can get donuts, cakes, cookies, breads, ladylocks, chocolates, coffee, small milks, and pies during your visit. Oh, they also have a cc min of $10 They have recently stepped up their social media as well, and introduce new products on fb occasionally.. Stop by the bakery. Enjoy a donut or two, you won't be disappointed.
