We found the GN acceptable and knowing it is in old Vegas it likely would be a hotel that showed some age. Our expectations were set correctly so all worked out well. Biggest amenity the were missing was a coffee maker in the room. Pretty standard stuff so were miffed by then not having one. Having to walk half asleep to Starbucks I the morning for some seriously overpriced coffee and wait on a ten minutes line was not a good experience.
We would come back for sure.... but please out coffee in the rooms.
A few general notes about all the hotels and Fremont street. They have perfected the art of parting you from your money. From the watchful eyes of bartenders making sure you play the right level of play in video poker to the hustlers on the street and seemingly worsening odds on slots. My personal PoV is that it has moved to a more mechanical operation and is losing its luster a bit.
