| - First let me say that I love massages and have been to a lot of spas, including other local spas (Esspa, Sewickley). The prices here are similar those, so in line with a good spa, and thus I was expecting that type of place.
When I walked in, the atmosphere was not at all what I expected. It is a salon atmosphere, not a spa. After you check in, there is nowhere to sit and relax with a cup of tea or even a glass of water. The small waiting room was nice, but no drinks or anything offered like you usually get in a spa. Plus it's loud so decompressing and getting ready for a relaxing service isn't possible. My first impression was that this is a 1 star place with a 5 star price.
Then I went for my deep tissue massage with Dana. She is amazing. She really knows what she is doing. I felt like a new woman when I walked out.
So, overall, don't go to this place for a relaxing spa experience. If I hadn't lucked into a fantastic massage therapist I would not go back. I can't justify more than 3 stars based on that. But if I could rate the place and Dana separately, I'd give the place 2 stars and Dana 5 stars.
