  • On a warm Vegas day, my fiance and I decided to cool off by trying Recess for the very first time. We've been wanting to come here and I really don't know why we waited this long, but any place who has matcha soft serve on tap deserves 5 stars, just saying. First off, the interior is adorable. It replaced Perfect Scoop (I liked that place as well) so the set-up is all too familiar. 2 sides of seemingly endless flavors of ice. There is a plethora of toppings and sauces to choose from and from the menu, you're able to mix it with tea and have a boba concoction? Wuuut. I have not tried them because on our first visit, we ordered the famous Taiyakis. :) Fish shaped waffles topped with your choice of soft serve. Not sure if they change flavors but on the day I went, we got a matcha and vanilla swirl on top our matcha waffle and taro waffle. The soft serve itself is delicious. It's creamy and sweet and the perfect match to the waffle. Pocky automatically comes with them but you're able to add other toppings if you wish. Ours came with green tea and strawberry pocky sticks. The waffles are also good. It has a crispy outer layer with moist cake on the inside. The yummiest surprise though? I was not aware there would be a dollop of nutella inside the waffle. Totally blew my mind. What can I say, desserts make me crazy. Ya feel me? I know you do!
