  • My friend and I made an appt at Mira's for 7:30pm (it was the only place we could find on short notice in the area during the evening that would take both of us at once) after reading mixed reviews and deciding to take a chance. Full disclosure: I'm not used to going to really upscale places to get my nails done. I go where the deals are, hope that it works out, and if it doesn't I just don't go back. This place was just what I was looking for. Both of our mani/pedi combos ($30) were fast, thorough, and well-done. We had different technicians, both of whom were quiet, but friendly. A woman next to me was getting french tips done, and I thought they looked great. The woman seemed displeased with them, but told the woman to go ahead and finish the rest (while perpetually sighing audibly at each finished nail). The woman doing her nails was very kind and offered several times to redo her nails if she could tell her what she didn't like about them. Eventually four other women that worked there gathered around and all seemed confused but tried to figure out what the lady wanted. I thought it was really funny, and sweet that they cared so much when it honestly just seemed like the woman was having a bad day and taking it out on them. After reading someone's review that their waxing appointment went awry, I think I'll stick to mani/pedis.
