| - We have stayed at several Residence inns by Marriott. I believe one in Portland, Oregon & Los Angeles airport. This one by the Las Vegas airport south of the strip had a shuttle airport service but bc we rented a car we didn't use it. I was told they even have a shuttle that can take you to Mandalay Bay but you must make an appointment & it runs on a specific schedule. I posted a pic of that schedule btw.
I liked how this one was pretty clean, spacious & modern. I was told they don't do deep cleaning but every third day though they will refresh. That deep cleaning remains to be seen. However I did like the small kitchen & extra plugs throughout the one bedroom suite. They should provide a rubber mat in the tub as it can be super slippery and it's an accident waiting to happen.
The first evening we were here they provided a light dinner service consisted of hot sausage dogs, green salad, potato salad, chips & pretzels. Soda was also complimentary. They had Smores Wednesday night but we passed on that. They only provide those light evening meals Monday & Tuesday.
Every weekday morning around 630 AM they offer a breakfast buffet of scrambled eggs, turkey sausage, biscuit, cereal, hot oatmeal, fruit, yogurt, bread, croissants, bagels & make your own waffles. Weekend morning breakfast begins at 700 AM. That business center is just around the corner behind the fireplace.
We stayed here several nights. We were close to the elevator plus being on the second floor outside my bedroom window I heard the switching of the on & off electrical machinery. WTH? I'm really a light sleeper. Zzzzz.....plus that mattress was little too soft for me:(
What was ideal the last day we had a chance to enjoy their swimming pool area with reclining sun chairs & lawn furniture all scattered throughout. That waterfall into the swimming pool was beautiful. Even the last day here it was around 67 degrees on an early December fall day. Being out in the sun it felt just right.
I did like the convenience of coffee & hot water prepared for us customers staying at the hotel. I guess a transient did too as he made a spectacle of himself on the way out one morning at breakfast time. We left the hotel shortly after that to go shopping & sightseeing. Hubby saw two cop cars by the hotel as they were probably notified of the transient.
I distinctly remembered on the very first day when we arrived in our room the air conditioner was on. I had to turn it off as it was way too cold but then it got hot. Darn I always bring the wrong clothing. But fear not we were neighbors to Las Vegas south Premium outlet stores. With lots of eateries. So convenient that we didn't even miss the Vegas strip on this visit!
