This may be a little biased- I grew up on Italian food from a mother who was the most amazing cook. The food in my neighborhood was what we referred to as "red sauce" or "italian-american". Martorano's took his east coast-italian american food that we all grew up on and brought it to Vegas- and good for him. There is an entire population in Vegas who never had this. I should know, I was there Saturday night with 2 very "American" friends from California. They LOVED it. Their review would be 5 stars all the way. I just have had this food so much that it is not unique. Strictly local red sauce grub. I had to explain what "gravy" was to my friends - which was pretty funny. I also had to hold my tongue at the "mark-up" of Proseco ($15 I pay at the market - $40 at Martorano's) - They gave us a nice tasting of mortadella mouse- it was very tasty. I had the linguine vongoli. I thought it was really good. They are very generous with the clams. Usually, you get such a small amount. Very good meal. My friends got the pasta with fish and liked it and my other friend LOVED the eggplant stack and satueed spinach. Good restaurant for Las Vegas
