| - After extensive research and numerous calls, I selected Bulwark Security. They have exceeded expectations from the first call to installation to personal service. I was with Protection One since 1992. After 24 years you would think they would do anything to keep my business. The alarm business is very competitive. I heard sales pitch after sales pitch from at least 10 companies I called. Each one scripted and delivered by call center type staff.
As I went up the Protection One ladder, no one could give me a lower monthly rate. I was done. Unfortunately, I had to pay $170 to end my contract.
Bulwark is the exact company I was looking for. I am so glad I spend the hours on research and calls. It was quick. Jeff called me asap after my request. Jeff is the owner! He was a real person with great communication, honest information about his company, no hard sell, and the best monitoring rates. Don't be fooled by all the low rates you see advertised for other companies. The do it yourself kits may be good for a few people but they also upsell for more coverage, equipment, and more monitoring service. Also, there is no need for someone to waste your time by coming out to see you first. A good, knowledgeable company could assess your needs on the phone. Every step of the process gets an A+++. Jeff gave me the best pricing of any company. Even an extra discount for paying a year in advance and a promotion price. It helped me offset the pain of paying Protection One off. I felt good signing up - like I found the best company.
Installation - I work full time and like first morning or late afternoon service calls. Jeff arranged for Dwayne to be here at 7:30a within a few business days. No 4 hour time spans to sit and wait at home! Dwayne was friendly, calm, professional, clean, timely both arriving and completing the installation. He listened to my concerns and did the best installation I could have expected. I don't even know I have an alarm. Maybe its been a long time but seeing dark contacts to match darker frames impressed me! Very small, too, so they disappear from sight. Dwayne has years of experience which I greatly appreciated.
Follow up. There was a minor glitch with the phone app not sending alerts after day one. Trisha in the office said she could have Dwayne back that day but I couldn't be home. He was scheduled the next morning again at 7:30a. That evening all the alerts came through and it was working fine. I emailed the company to cancel call so he wouldn't have to come early. Within half an hour, Jeff replied thanking me for letting them know. Honestly, in this day and age, this is how business should be done. There is no reason to be working with a huge national company where you never talk to the same person, wait days for service, hours for a service call and staff that just don't care.
Bulwark represents what an outstanding business can deliver. Jeff obviously cares about doing the best job at a good price with the best customer service. I am sad to note this is not the norm these days. But when I find it, I share with everyone. It is becoming increasingly important to me to work with and support local companies. Bulwark is a modern, current company that sells the most up to date technology with good old fashion customer service and personal attention.
