At the Maple Leaf Gardens Loblaws, there are often hockey players saying their post-game goodbyes outside. Which I love. There's also many varieties of fresh Ace Bakery bread, a giant cheese freezer, and a good selection of organic fruits & vegetables. And tempting displays of kitchen doodads I have no need for in the centre aisle. And pack-your-own, bulk sliced mangos and kiwis on the right as you walk into the produce section.
Plus it's on my way home. Plus there's a LCBO upstairs, and bike parking right outside. But what's up with the dreadful "arena seats as art" display on the right wall when you walk in? Surely there's a better way to doff a hat at the history of the building.
And what's up with Joe Fresh manufacturing in sweatshops that violate human rights? http://www.macleans.ca/general/joe-fresh-items-made-in-bangladesh-factory-that-collapsed-killing-more-than-200/
Surely there's a better way.
