I was in Phoenix visiting a friend for a few days and I saw that the Diamondbacks were playing the White Sox at Chase Field and I had never been to this stadium. It is right in downtown Phoenix, unlike other stadiums which are out in the 'burbs. The area surrounding it has a cluster of bars and pubs within a couple of blocks for your pre or post game dining.
Walking in is easy and tickets were priced pretty good, as baseball is a inexpensive game compared to football and basketball. All bags are searched but you can bring in your own food as I saw several people sitting around me had their own. It was easy to find our seats which were up on top, down the left field line, but still a good view. The dome was closed but it was opened right after the Star Spangle Banner.
Each level has several things to chose from to eat, from the required hot dogs, to pizza, tacos, pretzels and sandwiches. Overall, it is a nice stadium for being 20 years old and the atmosphere is really fun, especially since the Diamondbacks are doing pretty good so far this season.
