We went in for an early dinner to celebrate my husband's promotion at work. There were only three occupied tables. The manager was nice enough to come out and greet patrons and ask about their dining experience. What surprised me was he didn't stop at our table. I was completely baffled. Why would a manager go down the row to greet the first table next to us, skip our table, then go to the third table next to us? Is it company policy to only greet white guests? I asked him about it and he seemed surprised that he had done that. Perhaps it's so ingrained that he ignore certain customers that he didn't realize it. Luckily, our waiter was more attentive.
