  • Booked a last minute room here for EDC weekend, it was the best thing we could find being that we only bought our tickets about a month ago. We booked the room through a 3rd party site. It's expected to be expensive during EDC weekend, about $200 per night, and we only wanted to stay for 2 nights total. We arrived here late Friday evening, around 6:15pm. Parking is no longer free anywhere in Vegas, the rates are Vegas pricing. Free the first hour, $5 for every extra hour, and $10 for 24 hours and additional will be added for additional hours. I definitely recommend saving your parking ticket and paying it inside, you could save a bit if you're going to have to drive in and out of the parking lot often. The parking lot wasn't too packed, we were lucky to park by the escalator. You'd still have to take a walkway outdoors into the hotel, it isn't directly connected to the hotel. The check-in process took some time, they charged us an extra $68 on top of our total for resort fees. According to the front desk, if you book through a 3rd party site, you will most likely be charged extra resort fees. However, it might be dropped depending on which site we bought it from. I understood resort fees are usually added onto the total, but $68 is pretty pricey for a hotel that's extremely outdated. Our room was located on the 6th floor facing the pool. We were placed on the very end of the hallway, where the emergency exit is. It's really far from the elevators, but I guess it's quiet. We had also requested for a king sized bed but walk in to find two queen sized beds. We called the front desk and told them, they said they ran out of rooms with king sized beds so assigned us queen beds instead. I felt it was extremely unprofessional for doing that without letting us know! The room itself is very old, the wallpaper was kind of falling off from the walls. I wasn't happy with the bathroom either, they did not have a bathtub, but a shower instead. The shower head was the worst, you can't adjust the pressure of the water, so it was just piercing my skin during my shower. Then to top it off, on the second night of my stay, there was a loud buzzing noise that went on for hours, it made it a little difficult for me to sleep initially. My overall experience was honestly not the best. I felt that they were very unprofessional in regards to our room assignment without notifying us. Everything is very outdated, I'm not sure how cheap it is on a regular weekend, but I definitely don't feel it's worth the money. I think the only thing redeeming about my room was probably the beds itself because it was pretty comfortable despite my unpleasant experience here.
