  • So a few days ago, i called Aces dental to make an appointment for a cleaning and checkup. I told the receptionist who made my appointment that i had braces on and i asked her if it was gonna be a problem. She said no and that they can work around it. So i rearranged my schedule and i also called my insurance to switch over my dentist to Aces as opposed to the one that was assigned to me and the lady at the insurance company was kind enough to do me the favor of switching it effective immediately as opposed to 3/1 like it's supposed to be. Anyway, i get to Aces a half hour ago and the girl at the front asked if my wires from my braces were off. I'm surprised by her question and i said no. She then tells me that they cannot clean my teeth unless the wires were off. That instantly PISSED me off! I told her that the receptionist who made my appointment never told me that and i made her fully aware of the fact that i had braces. Had i known that the wires needed to be off for cleaning beforehand, i would have absolutely made certain they were off before my appointment. The girl at the front desk had no remorse at all for her co-worker's screw-up. So i called my other dentist (Affordable dental) who put my braces on and they told me that the orthodontist is the only one who can remove the wires and he was not working today. The girl at the front desk at Aces just really didn't care at all and gave a lame a$$ apology that was drier than the desert after telling her that i can't get the wires off today. Clearly i don't expect her to care cuz she's just there for a paycheck, but it's all gravy! If Aces doesn't care, well neither do i! They just lost me, my daughter (who had a pending appointment that i cancelled as well), and about 100+ of my coworkers who all just got a new dental insurance effective 1/1/18 and were waiting on my appointment today so i can give them my feedback so they can switch over to Aces as well. But Aces has a lot of clientele so I'm sure they're not phased at all by me dropping them......even though they screwed up royally!
