| - I LOVE BOVER. I've stopped checking-in as it became borderline embarrassing. Apparently, friends have been noticing "someone" has been on a Bover high. So in confession, I come here way more than my yelp activity states. Lol.
Here's why I love Bover...it's the "Brew Tea" on this side of the valley and of all NW/North LV. Not comparing them to Brew Tea, but giving those something to gauge. Their menus are different than each others in a few ways and clearly their own style, but quality...they are equals.
Just to note: I have had their Okinawa MT w/sea salt, Thai Tea MT w/sea salt, Thai tea smoothie, Avocado smoothie, Strawberry and coconut smoothie, Matcha cheese latte, Iced green tea w/sea salt, that Red hibiscus iced tea (forgot the name but something like that), and just plain ole sugar free iced green tea.
But here's whyeee I really love Bover, the owner clearly uses premium tea. I love tea. I dont converse about tea, I dont act like a tea connoisseur, but I KNOW if my tea is being brewed cheaply and if you're giving me cheap tea. At Bover, she brews her tea potently. I can order a milk tea and the tea will STILL stand out. It'll stand out just as much as the flavor of the tea. See, that's why Brew Tea was a winner for me as I boasted the same of them. Believe me, I've been to many shops like such to know when they are trimming on the tea brew, using cheaper tea, orrr the other ingredients are masking the tea. No bueno. The Okinawa MT seriously makes me happy as I truly do not have to drive 35 minutes just to get one done CONSISTENTLY right.
If it matters to you as it matters to my husband, he appreciated that she uses real fruit in majority of her drinks. Specifically, in the avocado smoothie. My hubs peeves when his avocado is nothing but powder generic kine.
One thing I will say is, she may run a tad on the sweeter side. Spare no problems in letting her know what percent youd like. She welcomes that. She wants the drink to YOUR desire. I had ordered my ice tea at 50 percent one day and thought it was still a little sweeter than I expected. BUT HEY! That's me. I'd say 25 percent is just right. Like I said, I like my tea so I will order it at 0 percent so I can taste all the bitterness green tea has to offer for my bittered soul. LOL.
Also, I wasnt the greatest fan of that red hibiscus tea (?) And the thai tea was too sweet for me so I recommend dropping sweetness a notch if sweet isnt your thang. Again, that's just me.
Anyway, her soft serve flavors usually switch up. Not sure if it's weekly, but if I squint and look up as if I'm looking into my brain...I believe she does switch it up weekly. Haven't tried the soft serve so I'm no help in that dept.
Bover doesnt have anything "hot" to offer for the cold days on the menu. I think I'll have to ask if she is able to whip something on the menu HOT. Wouldn't be surprised if she said, sure.
Service is always consistent along with her shop staying clean. It's so important to me when a business I root for stays CONSISTENT in the quality of their drinks. So far, she hasnt let me down. I've been let down sooner a few times over at other businesses
Friendly, helpful, informative, none-the-less. Honestly, I order her green tea iced. She knows me enough to know how I like my iced tea. Her tea is brewed potent enough that if I had leftovers, I could easily add a bit more water to it without losing quality. Not to mention, I always feel revitalized after a cup of it. Energy boost. Oh, they only have 1 size by the way. So a cup there is a 24oz. Well worth the price!!!
Some drinks I have to split a cup as 24oz is too much for 3 out of my 4 minions. Doing that is an extra .50cents per drink. Way cheaper than dropping another 4 or 5 bucks just to waste.
No high chairs but very stroller friendly. No food either.
Highly recommend giving Bover a try!! It could seriously save you a drive if there is something on their menu equivalent to your go-to spot.
Enjoy!
