| - I am in the Las Vegas area twice a month for family and other pleasures. I usually stay at the Aliante when in North Las Vegas, or a Marriott property when elsewhere. This time, I gambled and tried this Station casino property. Mistake.
It has seen better times and, unfortunately, management sees no real need to advance it into 2015. The rooms were staid, the beds barren (no spreads, extra pillows, or comforters).
It's worth noting that the upscale Aliante was once a Station property. The Aliante has done much better since leaving that fold. Kudos to them.
I noticed people walking non-service dogs into the Fiesta's casino; I didn't inquire as to whether the hotel is pet friendly, but that's a no-no for me. There are some spaces I don't care to share.
The front desk staff was trained, but mechanical. I paid my security deposit in cash, so as not to have my credit card encumbered for up to ten business days. When I got home, I found that they charged the deposit to my credit card anyway. That means they held two security deposits simultaneously. Egads.
I won't return. Better to pay a few dollars more elsewhere and get the better experience.
The good: The price. The Regal Theatre.
The bad: Everything else.
