  • Avoid going here at all costs. I've been suffering from stomach and intestinal issues for about a year now. I came here and saw Dr. Castillo once and got some tests as well as an ultrasound and CT done. No joke, I had to call and babysit them to get any of my results. It took a full MONTH before I got the results of my blood tests that they did in the office (I called every week more than once after the first week passed with no word from them whatsoever). They all came back clear so we went ahead with scheduling an EGD and colonoscopy. I found out the results of said EGD and colonoscopy when my mother went to pick up another medicine for me from my pharmacy and then found tons of H Pylori meds prescribed by Dr. Castillo also in. They NEVER called me to let me know. The MA for Dr. Castillo is god awful. You will never get a hold of him. He clearly ignores calls and voicemails as the amount of calls and voicemails both myself and my mom made throughout the time I dealt with them is an absolutely obscene amount. We've maybe gotten a hold of him about 2 times throughout the two months or so I've been dealing with them. Seeing that I was probably going to run out of Zofran before the end of my 2 week 3 medicine treatment, I made a call 9 days before the end of it -- to ensure that even with their lagging I would still get it sorted prior to running out -- to get another prescription of Zofran sent out. We even tried calling again a couple of times after that as my nausea got worse near the end of the treatment. It's now 3-4 weeks later and we still have not heard back from Jose, Dr. Castillo, or anyone else from the office and I never got another Zofran prescription. They're extremely negligent. If you have anything, there's a real chance it could fester and get far worse before you ever find out what you have. I was willing to suck it up because Dr. Castillo was super kind and made me feel very comfortable, but the fact I have to babysit and call 20 times to get any information every single time anything happens is ridiculous and tiring. Every other medical provider I've dealt with actually attempts to call me and leaves a voicemail when results are in and they're not this hard to get a hold of. I thankfully got my medical records from them and have since moved on to a far more efficient GI specialist who after the first appointment actually made an effort to call me and check in himself. I might have to go through another round of H pylori meds as well which is the real cherry on top of everything. Finding that out led me to realize I cannot handle going through another round of these meds with such an uncaring and disorganized place of practice where I probably won't be able to get a hold of anyone again. It's just not safe or a good idea to continue down this road with a place that seems to be unbelievably hard to get a hold of. Don't make the same mistake and find somewhere else to go.
