  • Decided to try something different in Scottsdale this weekend. What a mistake! Booked thru American Express Fine Hotels and was sorely disappointed. Arrived at the resort and was given an "upgrade" to a Spa room. Probably the worst room in the whole place, step outside on the balcony and you're basically on display for the whole infinity pool, zero privacy. The bathroom was dirty, stains all over the counters. The furniture on the balcony is filthy. They called to check if we were happy and of course we weren't. We were moved into a new room and it was just as bad as the first. The pictures on the website are deceiving, nothing like what you receive. The pool area reminded us of a motel. Cheap loungers and towels. Food is exorbitant and below average, maybe 4 items on the pool menu. Thankfully we were able to change our reservation and move to Troon North the next day. We will never be back. Overpriced rooms and food, below average quality. Maybe a 3 star property and that's being generous.
