  • Okay, where do I start. The food at JJ Madisons is okay. Not great, not bad. Not something I would drive out of my for but still not bad. Now for the service. ABSOLUTELY horrible, probably the worst I've experienced in quite some time. They have a seat yourself policy but there is no one who keeps a lookout for new customers coming in. We have sat for at least 10 minutes on several occasions before someone even noticed that we were there. Very unprofessional. We have even gone up to the servers and mentioned that we are there and have been told that someone will be with us shortly. Really? I don't think so. We saw two people recently wait so long to be waited on that they just walked out. We were on the verge of doing the same thing because our order was taking so long but they delivered it just in time. Also, it doesn't matter whether the place is crowded or you're the only customers in the place. We've been there in the summer and the service still sucks. They'll just keep walking by you as if you were invisible. It also seems that everyone of their servers has an attitude problem. They make you feel like they are doing you a favor by waiting on you. Extremely rude people. Not just one server but all. A universal problem. Do they find they these people all in the same place? Part of the logistical problem is that the servers always have their backs to the restaurant because the registers are facing the wall. Maybe if they somehow could turn them 180 degrees so the servers faced the restaurant, they might be a little more cognizant of new visitors entering the dining room. Probably still wouldn't prevent the stuck up attitude but at least it's a start. After our 4th time there and been treated the same way, we will definitely not be going back or referring the place to our friends. Their nine lives are over.
