Decided to come here after reading it was the best place in Toronto to get a sandwich... I guess my expectations were a little too high since i've ate out almost everywhere in Tdot and im really particular with my sandwiches.
I ordered the Five Spice pork belly Banh mi and kimchi fries.
After eating almost half the sandwich I felt like i was just forcing the rest into my mouth because I didnt want to waste the 6 bucks I paid for it. It's not horrible but it gave me the same satisfaction as the $1.50 banh mi I can pick up at chinatown. Nothing different about it.
the best thing about the kimchi fries is the name "kimchi fries". Its pretty much another s'okay dish but definately not worth the cash. It tasted like New york fires with kim chi on it.
Dont get me wrong, I dont mind paying a premium for great food but this place did not live up to the hype in my opinion.
There was however a cute cashier chick and thats the only reason im giving this rating 2 stars.
