This seems like a decent place to chill/study in lieu of B&N. There are a handful of tables and 2 decently comfy chairs, as well as a few current magazines.
black milk tea w/ boba ($4 for 20 oz). I'm not the biggest boba lover out there, but have had some REALLLLLLLLLLLLY good boba in my day so.... i wanted to try it out for myself. initially the boba was ok, but hardened too much w/ the ice in the drink. or perhaps they were not all equal? either way.... it was just okay for AZ boba. The milk tea had a strange fruity/floral note... maybe the vessel used to mix the tea in hadn't been thoroughly cleansed from the prior drink? I dunno. overall, meh.
apparently, they don't charge extra for boba (70c) w/ milk tea since it is "traditionally included" in milk tea. (i appreciated the effort in trying to educate customers on milk tea but.... c'mon. i CLEARLY wasn't confused about it since i ordered it without any questions or hesitation. and my people kinda invented it..... just sayin')
strawberry lemonade (~$3.50 for 20 oz): pretty good. it was tart, w/ a nice hint of strawberry.... it had a strange froth/foam on top that we couldn't figure out what it was from. this was better than the milk tea, but not to-die-for. they do have a lot of lemonade flavors which is cool, like prickly pear.
all in all.... i wouldn't be hard-pressed into coming back, but if was in the area and felt like some tea.... i might revisit.
