| - Two words. Truffle Fries.
I came in for lunch with some friends. It was minimally staffed for a mellow weekday and only one gal was behind the bar. The space is small, with a circular bar in the center. The patio is open, but let's be serious... it's summer in Las Vegas so nobody is out there yet. We were sat at a side table near the window and wanted to order all the things, and that we did.
First, the decor. The space is cool and contemporary with metal everywhere. I love the industrial design but what I don't love are the tables. I'm an eater, and the tables were clearly designed for drinkers. They are a half circle, so if you're more than a party of one, or order more than one plate, you're kind of SOL. We were drinking water, and shared three plates. At one point I had to hold my plate while I ate because there wasn't any table room. I digress...
The food is the real winner here. We ordered a vegi Grilled Cheese, which changed the way I feel about sandwiches. A lavender cheese with a coffee brine. The bread was perfectly crispy and melted in my mouth. The Shitake Burger punched me in the mouth with flavor and the burger was juicy and delicious. The Truffle Fries. I don't need to say anything else about them. Why? Because, truffle oil. We shared the charcuterie board as well and the showstopper was the brie. I'm hoping it's single because I want it to melt in my mouth every day for the rest of my life.
I'm excited to hear they also have a boozy ice cream machine, so once the temperatures drop a bit, I'll be sitting on that patio getting my ice cream on and people watching like crazy. I just hope the patio tables are bigger so they can handle my next order.
