  • Thanks for your very self serving reply. Several issues: The request for a licensed contractor was what caused the deal to go badly. Not any credit union issue, which in your back handed way was a dig at me. The loan was approved and as long as I would have accepted your unlicensed under the table electrical work all would have been OK with you. Your salesman even claimed you where the one directing him on these matters. Lets be clear at NO time was a licensed electrical contractor EVER offered nor did your company indicate you even worked with one. Your salesman claimed in emails which I can post, that after your company quoted electrical service and I requested a licensed contractor all of a sudden the story changed to you don't provide electrical work nor did he know anything about permitting and as stated in my original post seems odd since you claim to have so much experience in the hot tub market. The bottom line is you will sell hot tubs to anyone as long as you don't ask too many questions and there probably is a big enough market for the don't ask don't tell crowd that you can make a profit. I have no idea about the quality of your hot tubs, but that said when you start asking questions everything goes very dark, very quickly which is very alarming to me as a consumer. Homeowners need to be aware that unlicensed contractors can jeopardize their homeowners insurance and even be a major issue if the work is done and not permitted properly when it comes time to sell the property. All those noted issues were of no concern to your company and in fact your company denied in emails having no knowledge of those issues. If you want to post a reply almost a month later stating you are a concerned owner that's your choice, but it does not change the facts of what happened. Your salesman stated in an email that I can post that you directed him to disengage from the sale when I asked for the licensed contractor, but you state you work with a licensed contractor so why would you do that? Seems like if the customer wants the work done correctly and you work with a licensed contractor you would refer to that contractor. Why would you direct a customer to a contractor who is unlicensed under any conditions? I think the answer is clear. You wanted to make the sale and really not interested what the impact to the customer is, which is the my core issue with your company. BUYER BEWARE if you buy a hot tub from this company do your homework. Make sure you shop around and ask plenty of questions. Almost all hot tubs have to have proper electrical permits unless they can plug into a 110v outlet. This company with all their experience denied any knowledge of any permitting process and they denied it in emails so I can prove they denied it. This is why I posted to Yelp in the first place so the buyer can be aware of these issues. I personally went to another company and had a very good experience. My electrical work was done by a licensed electrician and I have the correct permits from the city. My new spa will be delivered in 1 week and we are looking forward to relaxing and enjoying it knowing that it was done above board and correctly.
