This business is THE WORST! I wish I could give them no stars. They were the only option at my old apartment complex so I had to go with them for internet. I chose to rent the modem monthly and return it upon cancelation. Once I moved, I returned the modem. The UPS guy sighed and told me to keep my tracking info and receipt because they were known for charging a "non return" fee. With his advice, we kept the receipt. We sent it off February 5th and, according to the tracking information, it was delivered February 9th. I just got a letter in the mail with an invoice date of February 16th, stating that I owe $108.09 for an "Unreturned modem charge".
All I can advise is to KEEP YOUR TRACKING INFO!!!
My brother in law has never had CenturyLink but was sent a modem by mistake from the company. They called and were told to return the modem. They did so but did not keep the tracking info and were charged this same fee.
I'm not sure how this business can still be allowed to do business, if that's what you want to call it.
