My filter timer needed replacement, we had a power surge and my timer clock stopped working. There was a sticker on the timer from "Precision Pool Care" so I called them.
I told the receptionist "my timer is broken and I need it replaced". She told me someone needs to come out and look at it and there is a $39 service call fee.
I said OK no problem ..would you like the part number of the timer?.. "No they will look at it" ..ok
The quickest appointment was 4 days out... OK I can wait 4 day I guess...
4 days later a guy shows up in a pickup...walks over to the timer and takes a picture of it ..."That'll be $39!..We'll call with an estimate!
I wait 3 days..no estimate ...SO I CALL THEM! "Oh , we'll email your estimate by the end of the day"
The NEXT day I get an estimate by email...Over $550 for a clock! PLUS THE $39 I already paid!
I'm in this deep already, so I said OK do it! When can you come?
She says "Well..you have to pay us $300 up front and THEN we will order the part" ...jeez! OK Bill my card...
We'll call when the part comes..Another full week goes by ...Nothing!! So I CALL AGAIN!
"Oh ..yesterday was a holiday so It should come tomorrow..." Tomorrow??? Why didn't it come today???
BTW Home Depot sells the clock for $150
Here I sit ..hoping the clock that is on the shelf at HOME DEPOT arrives tomorrow, So I can finally schedule an appointment to have installed!
The girl on the phone says "we have you down for Friday as long as the part comes" Oh..you schedule appointments without checking with the customer???
Never again !!
