| - Yoshi Bento has many mixed reviews on Yelp, but their overall rating was good, and we didn't want to drive too far from highway 101, so we stopped in to give it a try and LOVED it!
We were welcomed by Daniel who took our order at the front counter and served us. He gave us great recommendations. We opted for the Champon Ramen (extra spicy) and Spring Buckwheat Soba.
The Champon Ramen has plenty of seafood to chopstick up, and the broth was so rich and full of flavor. As much as I enjoyed the Champon Ramen, the surprise came in a bowl of Spring Buckwheat Soba. Green Soba, cooked to perfection, topped with seafood, vegetables, and rolled fried egg, all dressed with fish sauce. Every bite has light, refreshing components. Chef Jay later mentioned that this is a seasonal item and he is about to change to a warm soup version of this delightful Soba dish.
Yoshi Bento is located in the back corner of the shopping center with plenty of seating outside. If you sit inside though, you could well enjoy watching Chef Jay cook your dish.
Spending a little over $20 for two satisfying dishes was a very good thing.
