  • This hotel was fantastic. I've been to Toronto a bunch in the past couple of year and it's my favorite city in the world. Chicago use to be, but fuck that city at this point, there's a civil war going on in the neighborhoods and kids dying every night, get your shit together Chiraq... Oh Toronto, yeah weather you are just checking out the hippest street like Queens west or taking in a game at Skydive (I don't care what its name is now, it will always be skydome) you will need a place to stay. This was my 5th or 6th trip to Toronto in the past 3 years or so and I have stayed at a lot of places, this hotel was one of the nicest. I really do enjoy the Thompson for being in the middle of all the shit and proximity to Queens and a few other cool neighborhoods, but if you find yourself in the 6, you may enjoy this place. One note, be careful, because on the backdrop of this place it looks like it may be the dope man dope man catch up spot. A lot of people out, way too early in the morning. However if you stay on the main street, which is out front of this place, you should be good to go...
