  • We first heard about Roselle when they catered the dessert at a friend's wedding. We were so hooked on their banana eclair that we made it a point to actual visit their shop (and we're based out of Manhattan!). Now when we're back in Toronto, we love catching up with friends at Roselle. The staff here are incredibly friendly and helpful. It's hard to recommend which pastries are the best, as honestly everything on the menu is AMAZING. We were the heroes of our family's Christmas party for the Buche de Noel cake and cookies (especially the chocolate chocolate chips) that we brought. The caramels are also to die for (not artificially sweet, not too chewy, the perfect texture), and are also gluten free. This bakery is an absolute gem of a place. I'm a little hesitant to post, as I would selfishly love to keep this our little secret... but it's too great not to share. Besides, after being featured on Toronto Life and Cooking Channel's Sugar Showdown, it won't be a secret for much longer.
