rev:text	Decided to try Hakim in the summer of 2015 as it is close to home. The staff were helpful and patient when I was picking out my two pairs of glasses. A couple weeks later I went to pick up my glasses. They felt much stronger than my old glasses even though the prescription was the same. I was told to wear the glasses for a couple days, that my eyes just needed to get used to them. I did this but my eyes still felt strained. I went back and they assured me that the prescription was correct. My eyes were not used to the different curvature of the lenses so they were nice enough to send one pair back to get the lenses remade to my old glasses curvature. I had to go back a couple times because they kept on messing up the lenses (wrong curvature). When they finally came back with the correct curvature, the lens in one of the pairs stuck out of the frames much more than the other lens. I worried that the lens would pop out. I asked the staff about this and they said it was fine. They finally said they would adjust it so they took the pair and when they gave it back it was clear that they just bent the frame with brute force - you could see a sharp angle in the frame on top of the lens - and the lens didn't really sit better. I left because it was clear that they would not remedy this properly. I returned to see if they would somehow get the lens/frame adjusted properly (i.e. not by brute force) and I was told to come back the next day when the technician was in. Next day they got adjusted and finally the lens sat properly in the frame! I was annoyed though when I got the glasses back and saw a very visible scratch in the middle front of the frame, but was so sick of getting them to fix the pair that I didn't say anything about it. A couple weeks later I tried on the second pair of glasses and they didn't sit very well on my face so I went back to the store. The staff tried to adjust the nose piece but were having difficulty due to the construction of the frame. They used non coated pliers when gripping the nose pieces and as they adjusted it. I saw that the paint was being scraped off with the pliers (metal on metal) - it could be seen through the lenses. I asked them to stop adjusting the glasses because I didn't want the glasses to get further damaged. I will give them credit for offering to give me a different pair, so I chose another pair. A couple weeks later I picked up the replacement pair for my second pair of glasses. The staff adjusted them so they sat comfortably on my nose. Later that evening I took the glasses off to clean the lenses and there was a smudge on one of the lenses that refused to come off even after two cleanings. I took a closer look and found that the "smudge" was actually a series of scratches about 1 cm long. I hadn't taken off the glasses since I put them on in the store and was very careful with them so I am quite confident the scratch was there when I picked up the glasses earlier that day. I was so sick of going back to the store to get them to fix things that they messed up that I didn't go back. I regret going there and will never go back. The only good thing about this location was that it is close to my home so it was not a very long drive to go there those numerous times. Although the staff say they want you to be happy with their product, when they attempt to fix something they mess up something else. Stay far, far away from this place! It is worth going anywhere else instead if you don't want your glasses to be messed up repeatedly.
