So I feel a little embarrassed.
I've been extolling the virtues of Canadian cinema to my coworkers and friends down here in Buffalo, gloating a little about the wonderful, clean theaters and the assigned seating and all the other cool and fancy stuff.
And then I went here.
It wasn't terrible, but it was much more like an experience in an everyday chain theater in the US. It was grubby, and a lot of the trash bins were overflowing. I am not sure if this is a regular occurrence, or because they were overwhelmed because of Star Wars. Either way, the level of cleanliness was a bit off-putting. I saw far more staff sweeping tiny particles of popcorn off the floor, and nobody taking out the trash.
Otherwise, it was an acceptable experience. I think I'd much rather go to the theater in Etobicoke if I had to choose between these theaters.
