| - If you visit Montreal, this is kinda a must do whether you want to classify it as "touristy" or not!! Navigating the website and booking online are super easy. The official starting point is La Panthere Verte - The Green Panther.
This neighborhood of Montreal, pretty much central to the island, is the happening spot these days. This tour takes you to several stops for completely different tastes, stores with their our unique story to tell, and completely different price points.
From falafel, to handmade smoked sausages and cheese, to bagels and ice cream, the tour takes your tastebuds on a ride down Delectable Lane. Did you know St. Viateur's bagels are boiled in honey water? Genevieve Grandbois has the best Coconut Curry Cashews if ever put in my mouth. And the liver sausage at Boucherie Lawrence blew my mind.
Vera, our guide, was great! Wonderful enthusiastic gal. She had lots of history to tell, and tons of tidbits to add.
The tour is walking. If I remember right, it's about 1.5-2 miles you walk, when it's all said and done. Which was just fine with us. Eat yummy munchies, walk it off as you stroll to the next stop. Eat some more yummy munchies, see some more beautiful murals and architectural highlights. For the price, this is a wonderful way to spend 3 hours of your day!!
