| - What a great day hike. This one is harder than some of our other family hikes, there's some big boulders to climb down, and it can get really hot in the narrows of the canyons. There's a lot of deep sandy areas so for someone who does not enjoy hiking or maybe isn't in the greatest for the someone who doesn't have moderate endurance.
It's a beautiful walk, there's old, rusty wrecked cars which I still don't know how they got down there, in the small areas of shade wet soil with lots of plants, and small caves along the way. Once you get to the boulders, having small kids, dogs, a big cooler, etc., may prove very difficult to navigate down. There's ropes to help you down, but with small kids or a dog I might think it'd be dangerous. You hike down to the river and hot springs. There's quite a few people along the hike.
A high schooler sadly passed away hiking it last year of dehydration so be prepared, bring a lot of water, more than you'd think, snacks and a big hat.
