  • We just moved out of this complex at the beginning of August, which was a month earlier than our lease-end (yes, that was intentional - I would have moved out way earlier if we could have). First off, I will say the office staff is great, never had any issues there. They just got a new property manager so I don't have any frame of reference there, but Valerie and Tisha are amazing. Maintenance was always nice and work orders were usually responded to within 24 hours. The location is great - near the 101, Chandler Fashion Mall, restaurants, etc. The pools always seemed clean and taken care of. They did renovate their apartments, adding wood laminate flooring, new black appliances, resurfacing bathroom countertops, paint, and kitchen countertops. Landscaping was always taken care of as well. That's about where the niceness ends. 1) Parking - big issue. Where we were, multiple people with multiple vehicles were moving in to one apartment, so parking was nonexistent nights and weekends. It seemed like there was always a random car in my carport when I came home too. 2) No playground or dog park if that matters. 3) Our cars both received damage from people backing in to them or scratching them with something. 4) Maintenance issues took no less than 3 attempts to get fixed. Our A/C was broken (temp was never less than 83 in certain parts of our apartment) and they said it was fine. The A/C had to be at least 10-20 years old. Our electric bills were a minimum of $300 all summer and we kept our thermostat at 78-80 degrees, and we were miserable. 5) People don't like to pick up after their dogs or walk them on a leash. Both myself and my dogs were almost attacked by off-leash dogs. 6) Not everything is new when you move in. We got stuck with an ancient washer and dryer that were both broken, but referring back to #4, when the dryer finally died we got a new one but since the washer wasn't dead yet, that wasn't going to be replaced. 7) There is a security service that you can call, which was nice, but that came about when there was vandalism on the property and they finally hired a company. 8) Quality of people - okay, for the sake of not sounding like a snob, I will just say that I know meth heads when I see them. 9) It is a gated community, however, the gates open freely during the day so if you're expecting security, refer to #7. 10) The dumpsters were ALWAYS full. People were leaving trash on the ground, etc. It was disgusting. 11) Last but not least - we never had any issues with bugs, so that was a big plus. I'll also add that we're still waiting on our entire security deposit to be refunded back to us. It's been 22 business days and by AZ law, we were supposed to have it back w/in 14. I contacted the office and it was taken care of on their end, but the office in Houston is the hold up. Since we moved out early, paid our rent up until our lease-end, and they've since rented out our apartment, we're supposed to be getting a refund back for that as well. I really hope that is less of a pain than getting our SD back. If you look up Greystar, you'll find that they don't have very good reviews. It seems there is good reason for them. Again, I'm not faulting the office staff of this particular property because I feel like they've done their part (they're quite awesome actually), but the rest of the company is a hemorrhoid.
