  • Just got back from this hotel, and I have to say it has its pros and cons. It is a VERY elegant hotel. The minute you walk in you notice a lot of detail that was put into the decor of the place. Flowers surround the inside near the registration desk, and the casino floor has a floral red look to the carpet design. The inside of the casino does not smell like smoke (surprisingly). I have no idea what they are doing to avoid the smokey smell most casinos have but that is a big plus. Now on the to the few low points of my stay: When I arrived, I promptly checked in. However, the front desk indicated to me my room suite would be in the Encore hotel (part of the Wynn) and directed me and my party to follow the signs to where it would lead. About 10 minutes of walking lead me to a floor where my room was supposed to be. The problem with that is my room was no where on the floor. A passing hotel associate assisted us for a second, and then told us to check in downstairs where another check in desk was located at the Encore. After this run around, we were told our room was not in Encore but inside the Wynn hotel itself. Back to another 10 minute walk...by the time we arrived into our suite we were pretty annoyed at all of what happened. I also noticed there was only one bed for a party of 3. I am pretty sure I checked the option for 2 beds...another mistake. I called the front desk and they told me they could switch me rooms free of charge the next day at the soonest. Okay I thought...so far a few points deducted. However, they were willing to make amends. That next day we were changed out to another room. Much better view of the strip outside the window, and that second bed was there. The rooms itself were very spacious and clean. Flat LCD screen tvs in the room, and a mini tv in the bathroom in case you want to keep yourself occupied to a show while prepping up for the day. The showers were pretty spacious and the room also came with a bath tub. High water pressure in the shower and sinks were nice, and the strong flush on the toilet was also a plus. The beds were nice and comfy to lay on with very soft pillows to sink your head on. Easy to rest and fall asleep. The curtains and sheers of the room, along with the lights are powered by buttons located next to the bed and the side wall near the entrance of the room...I thought that was neat you didn't have to physically do more then button pushing to get everything turned on in the room. They also have a digital push button screen on the inside to set your room status on the outside door to "privacy please, or service room," which I thought was another cool thing. A couple more cons on some things I noticed. Considering the Wynn has a big time club in XS and Blush, you would think that hotel guests would get a free pass in or at least a discounted price to get in. Not the case. I called the nightclub itself to Blush and I was told general admission for Blush is $40 even for hotel guests. That is pretty lame considering its not cheap to stay at the Wynn to begin with... Overall, this is a high end stay at a high end hotel. The customer service was first rate and made up for the errors I ran into for the 3 nights I stayed here.
