| - Ever since this business was sold, it's lost its appeal. The new owners treat this like a hobby, not a business. There are all kinds of tacky, messy, handwritten signs throughout the store. Some of them tell you about additional flavors you can get, some tell you the rules about asking for samples, some talk about how to get a special waffle cone. My advice is either type this up, or have a professional sign made.
Oh, and the tackiest sign of all, a full 8.5 x 11 inch piece of paper taped on the front of the register, encouraging tips. This isn't some kind of creative funny message, or a subtle note near a small tip jar. This is in plain view, right as you go to pay. I'm all for tipping for great service, but at this place, you literally do all the work yourself. If they would just pay their employees fairly, there won't be so much pressure to tip.
Plus, this place is over priced, compared to many other self-serve yogurt places, so there's no excuse for not paying their employees fairly, and stop begging for tips The owners clearly don't know how to run a business, in a professional manner.
They also need to pay attention to their food temperatures. You could make people sick, if you don't keep things properly cooled. For example, I went to buy a bottled drink from their fridge/cooler, and the bottles were almost room temperature. Sadly they also keep dairy items in that same fridge. There is no excuse, as that fridge should either be repaired, or all of the items should be taken out of service, and anything that is perishable should be thrown out. Duhh!!
I hope the owners are reading this, as a few easy and quick fixes like this and you could actually have a professional store. Until then, I will go elsewhere.
