  • For $150 a night, I can get a good deal on the strip with more comfortable accommodations. However, I was climbing at Red Rock for the weekend and wanted some place a little more central to the mountain. Check in was a breeze and the room was spacious enough. The bed was a little hard, and the water from one of the spouts smelled like burning hair (a la hair salon), but the view of the golf course was lovely. I do wish there was a central switch for the lights. I got in at night, and I had to use my phone as a flashlight to walk around and turn on each individual light in the room (besides the main entry one). We went down to the pool and jacuzzi one late afternoon. Both are small but adequate enough. We didn't swim because the pool wasn't heated and it was a tad bit chilly that day. The in-house movie theater was interesting, though we didn't see one. It's something to keep the kids busy, I guess. One thing, though - all the doors are really heavy. We kept getting it with them when exiting the room and entering and exiting the parking structure. And, except for one occasion, whenever we pushed the elevator button, the door would open on the opposite side. It was almost like it was on purpose. Weird.
