Been here twice now and really enjoy the food. So far I've tried the (1) Soft Serve Matcha in waffle cone, (2) Hojicha Latte, and (3) Hojicha Frappe.
Each of the items I've tried has been really delicious. The Soft Serve matcha was the perfect sweetness with matcha powder sprinkled on top for a boost of matcha flavoring. The cone was crisp and provided a bit of contrast to the smooth soft serve.
Before Maiko, I had never tried Hojicha before. I love it now and even prefer it over the standard matcha options. Like the soft serve, it's the perfect sweetness.
The service at Maiko is also great and I haven't had to wait very long at all despite both times being fairly busy. The only thing that I think would make this place even better is if they offered matcha flavored pastries as well.
TIP: Pair a matcha soft serve item with a hojicha drink. The hojicha's flavoring and sweetness is a good break from the matcha and acts as a palette cleanser in my opinion.
