  • so i've been to the mario's in the south side a few times before i checked out this one. i'm not a fan of crazy busy bars where you can barely move unless something really cool is going on or you know just about everyone there. so i didn't have high hopes for this one, but i can definitely say i prefer it to mario's south side. it's still a pretty busy bar but it's not usually too hard to get a drink or find a seat. the atmosphere is pretty cool too, i really like the upstairs... it's like being on a patio... but you're still inside! and the staff is super friendly. i've gotten a lot of long islands there and they make sure i get what i paid for every time. some of them will party with you too if you just ask! it's also really nice that the bar permits smoking but has it on a separate floor so you don't have to be around it if you don't want to. plus! for those of you not close enough to walk, there's a parking garage almost right across the street!
