| - On February 17, 2018, both of my kids went to the Rainbow practice for a 9 AM appointment. A friend of mine took both kids to the appointment because I have an Influenza diagnosis, which I got two days ago while in the ER after health complications. I sent a letter explaining the kids' symptoms and more important, to let the provider know they were exposed to the virus: "I believe they should be tested for Influenza and treated accordingly to avoid any complications like I had". The letter was handled to Kate Reardon, NP at the begging of the appointment. She read it and proceeded to examine the kids. She told my friend they didn't have anything and gave both of them a flu shot. Both kids are back home, both have coughs, and the little one also has a runny nose and a 100.3 fever. I feel very upset with the performance of this provider. I can't believe that after sending a letter letting her know I have Influenza and with the symptoms they have, she decided not to run any tests, and just send them home not even with a prescription to relieve their coughs. I also found out, I am not the only person complaining about Kate Reardon, NP. I am very disappointed about how this practice can allow such a poor quality health care practitioner to work there. For me, this is unacceptable, and I have decided to find new providers for my kids in a different practice.
