| - I absolutely love Anthropologie, but it must be only me that feels like you have to look like a million bucks in order to get some attention in this store!
I walked in today carrying my infant god daughter in search of the gorgeous denim & pin stripe high waisted pants I saw in the window. I pulled them out, as an associate watched me...she said nothing. I placed them back on the rack and continued to browse.
As I walked through the store, I touched many things...picking them up, feeling them, holding clothes up to my body and so forth - clearly making a connection with things. Two other associates watched me as they held a conversation in the middle of the store. Again, nothing.
There were only two other customers in the entire store and I watched each of them walk out empty handed. I on the other hand found something the second I walked in and actually wanted to spend my money - but, I'll be damned if I give them my business!!
At this point I was so heated!!! I really wanted those pants, so I walked by the associates a few times - yet again, nothing. Not even a, "do you need help" or anything of that nature. Now, don't get me wrong...I don't expect to be treated like royalty. But, I'm so sick of horrible customer service. Just because a store is popular, that doesn't mean the damn items sell themselves.
They all need some serious training on how to treat EVERY customer that walks through their doors, after all without the consumer they wouldn't have a job. I don't think they got that memo!!
