| - Went to Stacy's Smokehouse with high hopes, due a write-ups in both the AZ Republic and Bon Appetit. Man, was I disappointed. Where do I start??? Well the entrance to the building is right next to the grease trap, so that smell is overwhelming on a hot summer day. You walk in and there is no one to greet you, so your left to figure out the menu, until someone decides to help you. They only accept cash. They did not have sweet tea, although it is listed on the menu (Oh, and they do not offer free refills on the drinks, even though we were the only ones in there on a Saturday night.) Now, for the food... We ordered pulled pork, rib tips, collard/mustard greens and okra. The meat had no hint, what so ever of smoke and when it was served to us, it was swimming in BBQ sauce. It was hard to taste flavor of the meat, due to the overwhelming amount of BBQ sauce. The unfortunate thing, is the sides where the highlight of our meal and thats not saying a lot. POOR, POOR, POOR customer service, over priced food considering the quality and amount that you receive. That is 30 mintues of my life and $25 that I will never get back.
