  • Staying here was the worst experience my family has ever had when traveling. It was a torture to stay here that is why this place deserves zero star. I totally agreed with all the other Yelp reviewer of this business. When we arrived we discovery this is a dormitory of UQAM renting out individual rooms of each student unit in the facility. The lobby was hot, noisy, and chaotic; a clue of our horrible 4 night experience. The unit we got had three bedrooms. Each are tiny and meant for one person but they claim each can sleep up to three. Don't believe them! We booked two of the room and the management jammed three college man into the third room. It was so cramped the third guy ended up sleeping on the common area. One evening on the couch and another evening on the floor. Each unit had NO air conditioning and when week were there the temperate with in the 80F (27C) so the rooms were HOT! There is a small ceiling fan in each room but when it was set on high it warbled so much it was scary. The window was blocked by a desk/wall unit. The window was partially blocked so very little fresh air came into the room. Even the desk chair provided to us was not usable because it was stuck between this desk unit and the full size bed. There was little room to move around it this bedroom alright. The bathroom only has a tiny shower unit and this is to be shared by six people! Toilet paper holder was broken so guess where the toilet paper sits? There are no shelves or hooked in the bathroom to hang anything. The tiny shower is so small the water is continuous dripping out on to the bathroom floor. Don't expect college guys to be cleaning up this mess! Each night we had to hangout in the Activity Room near the lobby because that was the only AC room we can find in the whole place. We have to cool offer in the Activity room until 2AM-3AM then return to our regular room. It was not always pleasant in the activity room because other residents, mostly college kids, are in there eating, drinking, playing radio loudly, and making a mess. Because our room was on the 1st floor level, the window opening into a court yard. This caused smoke from smokers to coming the room and twice drunken students were partying and drinking at 2AM in the morning. Drunken were roaming around the hallways with cases of beer. One night someone try to coming the our unit and try for 5 min to unlock the door. I think it was one of the drunks mistaken our room for his. Where is the security in this place? There is none! When I complaint to the Lobby Desk workers behind the counter they tell me this is what I sign up for. If you are OK with what I have experienced then this is a place for you to save a couple of dollars. If you are a family please go somewhere else. I watched enough families standing in the lobby was a horrified face as they sadly compliant.
