  • I am waking up today very frustrated! I placed an order online yesterday in the amount of 137.04. Received confirmation of my order # 40962139 and payment. I checked my bank shortly after the online purchase and saw the funds were removed as authorized by me. Later in the day my husband advised he was unable to use our debit card as it was declined. I knew we had plenty in our account for him to get gas and for me to enjoy taking my daughter and her bridal party to lunch a week before her wedding. I checked my account again and saw a 2nd, unauthorized charge in the amount of 134.00 from Belk!!!!! Knowing I did NOT make any other purchases from Belk. I called the customer service line and this is what I was advised: That when I placed my order the full amount those funds were set as a "hold" amount for the purchase, however taken out of my account and then when the ordered item shipped the purchase price of that was charged from my account 134.00!!! I was then advised the 2.29 linen napkin I ordered will also be charged once that ships. SERIOUSLY! You all took the full purchase charge out of my account at the time of purchase and then continue to charge me for the same items!!! I now have -$48.36 in my account!!! I am negative, with NO money to take my daughter and her bridal party to the planned dinner for tomorrow night!!! The order was for the dress I am wearing to my daughters wedding next week.....How am I supposed to be happy about wearing this dress when due to the UNAUTHORIZED amount of money that has been taken out of my account has left me negative in my account and truly embarrassed and heart broken to have to tell my daughter our planned Bridal night out is over due to me not having money!!!!!! I called this morning and was advised, m'amm you will have your money in 3-5 business days! I know for a FACT you can call my bank and tell them to release the funds IMMEDIATELY advising YOUR ERROR. I also feel at this point both charges should be credited back! There is nothing on your website advising you handle purchases in this manner! THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE
