Not the best place to stay in Calgary. I was there on a business conference and although their facilities are adequate, their employees are not well equipped to handle customers properly. A lot of bad noise ensued over a discrepancy on my bill that finally resulted in them understanding my point. So, I guess they get a mark for that.
The trouble had started the night before when they had me removed from my room in the middle of the night without much warning. I had invited a few of the conferencees to the room for a night cap (business people). But somebody on the floor took exception and called to say I was throwing a wild party. Which was hardly true. There were four of us having a drink and talking. But explanations didn't matter to these people. They told me I had five minutes to collect my belongings and that they would be moving me to another room. Which was on the main floor, presumably so they could monitor my activities. I don't need to explain how embarrassing it is to be treated like a mad man in front of important people. Lucky for them I have a sense of humour....
But I recommend not staying here unless you deserve to be treated like a criminal. Or maybe you're very old and are looking for a place that doesn't allow low-level talking amongst people at midnight. Then it's right for you. Until someone turns on you and complains....
