| - I gave this restaurant a good review last time I visited and was frankly shocked by other unfavorable reviews. Today, I understand.
Tonight was the World Series game 6. The place was pretty busy but there were four open seats at the end of the bar and two more down on the end. We took two of the four and an immediate wave of rotten trash smell wafted up my nose. We sat for a few more minutes until the second rotten trash smell drove us down to the two seats at the end.
Probably should have left then-- But, I really wanted to watch the game. Getting a drInk? Super slow service, a grumpy waitress who told off the guy next to us-- he just asked for a refill. Bad start.
We ordered- one mixed drink one beer. Two French dip sandwiches. 20 minutes later our sandwiches arrived. They looked good! Unfortunately, what was inside was the driest most flavorless meat ever. Even soaked in au jus, this was some nasty, dry, old meat. Ok, I was here to watch the game. . I had another beer. All was well. I told the waitress I was done and put my credit card down. She took our plates and disappeared for 15 minutes. Literally no one behind the bar on a busy night for 15 minutes?
Finally another employee called her back, she walked right past us and started chit chatting with someone else across the bar. 5 minutes later we get out bill. Charged an extra drink we didn't order or have and charged 2$ extra for the sandwiches. Miss charm argues with me, then realizing HER mistake corrects the bill.
All I can say is: smelly place, bad food, even worse service. I'm not going to ever go back.
Really shabby in every respect. Such a shame because they can do better.
