  • For anyone who's walked about the Vegas Strip and all the casino-hotels recently, then you know how these Vitality oxygen bars and massage stations are located about everywhere: in pedestrian malls and in most walking corridors that connect the casino-hotels to each other. This particular Vitality is located in the walking connector between the Luxor and Excalibur. Hubby and I passed this Vitality station numerous times during our recent stay in Vegas, and I was curious what these horizontal hyperbaric/bariatric chambers were all about. There were 3 of these chambers there, and they seemed to be filled with water. There was one guy in one, face down, and he appeared to be comatose. It looked like there was an entire car wash inside the chamber and this guy's entire body was the stationery vehicle inside. I asked the lady working there what was up with the car wash machines, and she explained it was a massage chamber and, no, to answer my next question, you do not get wet while inside. On my birthday, I treated myself to a 20-minute massage in the car wash. And it was surprisingly really good! I wore the earphones to block out any ambient noises, and I remained still as the contraption in the machine went up and down the length of my body, from my feet to my neck. I had the option to stop the machine at any point to concentrate on one particular area, but I chose not to do so. Like the guy I had seen earlier, I know I appeared to be in a comatose state. I was totally oblivious to the world. I'm dinging the place one star because, on a few occasions when we passed this stand, a guy here was in our face, literally, cajoling us to purchase a service here. He was really brazen and it was a total turn-off.
