| - I'll admit it has been at least a few months since my last Starbucks visit. I didn't even realized that I have a balance to work off on my Starbucks app. But after visiting another nearby Starbucks and they did not offered the Unicorn Frappuccino, which is the limited time only, try it now or deal with the potential consequences of lifelong psychological therapy sessions, I powered up my Starbucks app and found this location that I can pick up my order in 8 minutes. That is almost too easy.
When I arrived, there were maybe 8 guests in this spacious Starbucks, but not a person waiting in line to place or pick up their order. I found out from the barista working the register that I can go straight to the pick up window for my Unicorn Frappe order. Glad the default was for a Grande size order, since I normally get the largest size order of any drinks I get at Starbucks. But a review written by a reporter mentally prepared me for this purple with blue streaks drink (topped with whipped cream and more colorful sprinkle of sugar definitely packs a lot of sugar and tartness in its weird yet pretty presentation) to be on the "it's too sweet" end of sugary spectrum. But as far as a made to be a social media sensation, the brain trust at Starbucks definitely hit this one way out of the proverbial ball park. Just look at it! It is like My Little Pony with the rainbow color mane was flash frozen and subjected to the "Will It Blend" experiment and the result was poured into a plastic cup, topped with whipped cream and decorated with colorful sugar and served to any customer chasing the latest fad.
Since the #unicornfrappuccino is made with sugar, dusted with colorful sugar on top of the whipped cream and will change color and taste as you stir it or suck through the straw the different layers of ingredients, it should not surprise anyone ordering it that will be SWEET with the occasional "Ohh that's tart" taste bud response. A Tall reported packs 39 grams of sugar already, so I don't even want to know how much more sugar are in larger sizes.
Anyway, this Starbucks has a nice ambiance about it. The customers have plenty of space and seats to enjoy their drinks indoors, especially nice when the temperature gets that much more unpleasantly hot in a few months. Plus it appears to be a hangout spot for taxi drivers.
The store is not packed with retail items like some other Starbucks I've visited. The staff works efficiently and are pleasant to interact with. Definitely would pick this location to revisit should I be in the mood for more Starbucks.
