| - For me personally, 3-stars, but I don't want to be that girl that says, "I don't like seafood, and all they have is seafood, so 3-stars." The place is called Oyster Bar, so what the heck did I expect?
However, for all of you who are less than enthusiastic about seafood, but have a partner, friend, spouse or parental who adores the stuff, be warned: If you try to make their wildest pan roast dreams come true, you will be making a culinary sacrifice. When you sit at the bar, you will be eating seafood and/or salad.
Important note: If you are with a group, and some of your group wants to gamble while you selflessly wait in the long ass line on a Friday night, they can run off and play. When you reach the front of the line, they can come back and join you.
Also note, that everyone in my group who consumed the pan roast looked like they were inhaling something close to ecstasy. They didn't seem bothered by the 40-minute Friday night wait or the $20 price tag.
Personally, I had a Caesar salad and a cup of clam chowder. If you're a dressing lover, you will adore the salad. It is huge and drenched in some tasty dressing. For me, it was a bit rich and overwhelming, but still a generous, well-executed Caesar. As for my clam chowder, the flavor was perfect, but there was sand in the clams. Not so enjoyable.
Still, I am going to stick with the 4-stars because I do believe if you're a seafood lover, you should take a chance with the Oyster Bar at least once.
