  • So many mixed reviews about Industry! Was here for a birthday celebration, and it wasn't crowded for a 9pm reservation for 15 on a Wednesday. We were seated at a nice table by the open window. It was a little breezy, but I had a jacket. Like others, I am impressed by the draft list--but the prices! $5 for an East End Black Stout? Yes, please! Beer ranges from $4 to $9, and I even saw an 11% ABV Stone Double Bastard Ale for $7. These aren't even the happy hour prices, when from 4:30 - 6:30 pm, everything on tap is $2 off. They also brew three of their own beers, I.P.H., a copper ale, and a hot blast habenero pale ale. They also listed three of Arsenal's ciders, all 8.5% and $9. For the food menu, there were 3-4 choices that I was stuck between. I've seen the pictures of the handhelds, but then the reviews on the burgers make me want to try those too. I decided on a $13 worker burgher, rare, with sweet potato fries instead of the regular fries. I didn't notice the wait for the food, since our large party's conversation passed the time. I was SUPER excited seeing my burger! With a cute little toothpick that read "RARE," it seemed like they just knew I was going to take a picture. It was all set up, the top bun on a little tilt so that the juicy patty, super dry goat cheese, mushrooms, and arugula were showing their best side. The sweet potato (in waffle fry form!) had confectioner's sugar sprinkled on top of a few of the rounds. I'll ask for it without sugar next time. Otherwise they were perfectly crunchy and sweet. The only downside to my first experience at IPH was that I was sitting by a window, so the food got cold quickly in 50 degree nighttime weather. Cold sweet potato fries are still good, but not rare meat. I eat slowly, so I had to box part of that burger. The service was ok; I'll give them the benefit of the doubt because the party was of 15 and some people came late. They were accommodating. The server may have been a little overwhelmed but he pulled it off. I tried my friend's foods: Truffle fries - The potatoes felt like just a vehicle, and it would probably be better on top of something meaty like chicken or a fish. Upgraded pot roast fries - Not extraordinary for the upcharge. We were a party of ~15, so with tip, my meal came out to $25. I'll come back during happy hour for another stout and a sandwich.
