I had lunch here- pork with rice and a side order of "taro rolls." About $17 all in but that's only part of the story because even for a big eater like me, this was FAR too much food for one person. Value is fantastic- incredibly. I've had this pork dish at other Taiwanese places, most recently near Bay and Gerrard in Toronto, and it's always more of a snack than a meal and at least from my limited personal experience is made with very seasoned, savoury ground pork. Quickly's has all the flavour but is made with MINCED pork, like what you'd get on a good taco, and the texture is succulent- total winner here and the portion is massive, easily enough to call it lunch for the average person. The reason I'm not giving my typical 5 star review is that while the rolls were an incredible deal- $4 for three big old-school Chinese restaurant sized ones stuffed with taro and ground pork- they were fried too long and just the edible size of burnt. Not bad, but there's room for improvement. No music ("it's broken") and an almost empty restaurant (it was early) don't make for a pleasant ambience but I'll overlook that for some really good, really cheap Taiwanese-Singaporean menu.
