  • This unique ice creamery is the first of its kind in the Phoenix area, with this Waterfront location being the first of 3 planned Creamistry developments, to date. They won me over by offering vegan options that don't solely consist of the sorbet variety. They have 2 vegan base options, which are sorbet and coconut milk. If you're vegan or lactose intolerant and don't have nut allergies, I suggest the coconut milk based option with the Cookie Butter flavor. It's a sweet and creamy concoction of vegan deliciousness. If you're feeling fancy, add the vegan-friendly strawberry sundae sauce. You can get it added on top or mixed inside as they make it. (An extra charge applies for each topping.) VEGAN THANGS! - Vegans and others who require non-dairy treats, should come prepared with knowledge of what is and isn't vegan, as the employees, including management, have no clue. Check their website before going, where you can find out exactly which items are vegan friendly. (Go to the flavor menu and towards the bottom click on "Allergens and Special Diet Information.") In case you're too lazy to look (I know you are), the COOKIE BUTTER, FRESH BANANA, STRAWBERRY, & CHOCOLATE flavors, are all vegan when made with the coconut milk base (or sorbet). The only vegan toppings are the fresh fruit, nuts, and the STRAWBERRY SUNDAE SAUCE. Also, don't forget to emphasize if you want coconut milk (or sorbet) base, as they will default to premium cow milk if you fail to specify. Great location. Free wifi. Park in the parking garage across the street (on the Nordstrom side) if you can't find curb parking. A little pricey, for the portions. Sign up for the rewards program and get 1 free single size after 10 purchases. When they first opened, you'd hear an enthusiastic "Welcome to Creamistry! Welcome!!" Now it's just dwindled to a sad, mumbly, monotone "welcome", and it's actually quite comical. Most times they don't even bother. There is one guy (brown shirt so I think he's a manager, but I'm not sure) who needs some customer service training. He's been there several times when I've been waiting to order and he ignores you instead of saying "someone will be right with you,"or any similar acknowledgement, and that just peeves my pickle. Aside from him, there are some really cool employees and overall, I enjoy coming here.
